As one of the original signers of the community foundation’s articles of incorporation, Scott Lukins understands the importance of charitable giving in the Inland Northwest. As a former board president from 1981 – 1982 of the Foundation, Scott has a dedicated history with Inland Northwest Community Foundation, and he remembers the hard work that many people contributed in those early years.

“Many years ago, there were a number of people who promoted the concept of a community foundation. Those seeds have grown to serve the population of a broadening community in the arts, education, youth organizations and other social services,” Scott explains.

In 2004, he and his wife Betty used a gift of stock to create the Scott & Betty Lukins Fund, a donor-advised, pass-through fund to support a breadth of their interests, including the arts, girl scouts, boy scouts, education, public radio and public television.
