Community Strategies Grants/FY 2010 Round 1

Inland Northwest Community Foundation awarded more than $388,000 through the Community Strategies Grant Program in December 2009. Grants ranging between $7,800and $35,000 will support these organizations and programs:

American Red Cross, Inland Northwest Chapter  (Spokane County)
Communication system to enhance service delivery to communities in disaster response.  

Bonner Soil and Water Conservation District (Bonner County)
Lakeshore Assessment System, a voluntary educational program to assist shoreline property owners in making well-informed decisions about the management of their lakefront property.

Boys & Girls Club of Spokane County (Spokane County)
Program support to launch a Positive Place for Kids and Teens.

Catholic Charities (Spokane County)
St. Margaret's Shelter Community Warehouse

Cheney Historical Museum (Spokane County)
Disaster Recovery Stabilization project to preserve the Cheney Historical Museum collection for the public benefit.  

Clark Fork-Pend Oreille Conservancy (Bonner County)
The Clark Fork-Pend Oreille Conservancy Project to expand land conservation project services to landowners that have properties worthy of permanent conservation on key waterways,and  enhance outreach conservation educational initiatives.

Family Promise of North Idaho (Kootenai County)
Systems Development to End Homelessness.

Vibrant Communities Spokane project to work with local municipalities and community-based partners to achieve broad-based goals important to growing healthy neighborhoods.

Collection Automation Project to computerize the museum's collection, improving collections management, expanding collection accessibility, and improving interpretation of the collection. 

YWCA of Spokane (Spokane County)
Program support for the Opportunity Center that helps women by increasing their access to resources, raising their incomes, and providing opportunities for them to enhance their employment-related skills.
